Step back in time and experience life as it was. Packed with thousands of historical objects and exhibitions, the Millmerran Museum has often been described as "the best in Queensland". A participating Museum in the Toowoomba Region Transport Heritage Trail, it features fourteen historical buildings spread over an acre of leafy grounds; extensive displays including a 1950's School House, "Water Baby" Exhibit, Farming, Military, Life as Pioneer Woman, Indigenous Artefacts, and so much more.
The T-Model Ford group visited the Museum October 2021 and delighted visitors with these pampered polished to perfection vehicles from days gone by.
Thanks Lloyd Gillam from Brookstead for organising to bring the group which included Doug Partington, a legend in the racing world. Doug has raced historic events in the USA including the Indianapolis Speedway in 2019.
Doug owns the oldest Aussie built racing car in Australia: the Model T Ford - Wikner Ford Special. And it has been inducted into the Model T Ford American Company Hall of Fame Race Car. And!!! Doug has offered to bring it for a visit to the Museum early next year!
Doug told us that racing legend Dick Johnson has driven this racer and their friendship goes back 60 years.
It was interesting to learn that Allora man, Keith Wilson, makes the best vintage car wheels in the world, including some on display here, and there are more Cadillacs per capita in Allora than anywhere else in Australia.
The Museum offers opportunities for businesses and private individuals to work with us to preserve and save the treasured reminders of Millmerran’s past through our “Adopt-A-Building” program. We have ten historic buildings and numerous outbuildings that house many of the Museum’s collections. Whether its financial (tax deductible) support or in-kind support of cleaning, maintenance, painting, repairs, etc. we would love to hear from you. For more information CLICK HERE
We are currently open by appointment only, so please don't hesitate to contact us to arrange your visit. Perhaps set aside a number of hours! Have a BYO break on our Picnic Tables. Unfortunately, we have some areas which are not wheel-chair accessible as most of our old buildings require steps to enter.
A handy Booking Form is available for your convenience, or phone to discuss.

After many years in the planning, one of the most historically significant items of memorabilia in the Millmerran Museum - the fully restored 150 yr old "Water Baby" (with her purpose-built shed and multi-media displays) was given a Grand Opening on 1 May 2021.
For special events, bus groups, family reunions, etc. catering can be provided with prior arrangement. We offer light lunches, morning and afternoon tea, with reduced entry fees for larger groups. Meeting hire rooms are also available. For Booking Form and further information:
